Healthcare goes far beyond prescriptions and appointments. True wellness includes stability, dignity, and access to basic needs, and that starts with food.
This winter, our staff came together to host an internal food drive in support of the Hugh Lane Foundation’s food pantry, collecting essential pantry items to help nourish individuals and families in our community. From canned goods to pantry staples, the response from our team was generous and heartfelt.
Why Food Access Matters to Health
Food insecurity is a major social determinant of health. Without reliable access to nutritious food, people are more likely to experience chronic illness, mental health challenges, and barriers to managing conditions like HIV, Hepatitis C, and diabetes. As an LGBTQ-affirming medical clinic rooted in community care, we understand that addressing these needs is essential to improving health outcomes.
Supporting organizations like the Hugh Lane Foundation allows us to extend our impact beyond our clinic walls and into the everyday lives of those we serve.
Powered by Our People
This initiative was made possible entirely through the generosity of our staff. Their willingness to show up, not just as healthcare professionals, but as neighbors and advocates, reflects the heart of Central Outreach. It’s a reminder that community care is a shared responsibility, and small acts can make a meaningful difference.
Looking Ahead
We are proud to support the Hugh Lane Foundation and grateful for the vital work they do to reduce hunger and support vulnerable populations. As we move forward, Central Outreach remains committed to addressing health holistically by supporting both medical needs and the social factors that impact wellness.
Thank you to our incredible team for leading with compassion and to our community partners who help make this work possible.
Because when our community is fed, supported, and cared for, we all thrive.
