Central Outreach Wellness Center is proud to announce the opening of the HepCMyWay Center of Excellence (COE) at 925 Brighton Road on Pittsburgh’s North Side, expanding access to Hepatitis C care and other essential health and support services in Allegheny County.
To mark the opening, Central Outreach recently welcomed Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato for a tour of the new facility. During the visit, our team shared how the COE will help connect people with accessible, comprehensive care while supporting broader efforts to address Hepatitis C and improve community health across Allegheny County.
The HepCMyWay Center of Excellence provides Hepatitis C testing, treatment, and cure, as well as HIV and STI testing, PrEP and HIV care, naloxone and overdose prevention education, healthcare navigation and referrals, and connections to substance use disorder treatment and recovery services. The Center is designed to bring these resources together in one accessible location and help patients get connected to the care and support they need.
“Our integrated care coalesces Hepatitis C treatment with prevention, harm reduction, and recovery support so we can address the whole person, not just one diagnosis,” said Kathi Scholz, Central Outreach’s Director of Hepatitis C Elimination Programming. “The Center of Excellence allows us to meet people where they are, reduce barriers to care, and connect patients to the services they need in one accessible setting. We believe this approach can make a meaningful difference for individuals and for the health of our broader community.”
Through a new partnership with JADE Wellness Center, the COE will also host JADE’s Access to Immediate Medication Services (AIMS) Mobile Unit every other Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The partnership expands access to same-day medication services for opioid use disorder, with both telehealth and in-person options available, while creating another pathway to connect individuals with ongoing treatment, recovery, and supportive services.
The COE is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Wednesdays. Whether you are seeking care, looking to connect someone with services, or simply want to learn more about the resources available, we welcome you to visit us at 925 Brighton Road. The opening represents an important step in Central Outreach’s continued commitment to removing barriers to care and helping build a healthier Pittsburgh.
